During the past thirteen months you have served as the Avionics
Chief Petty Officer on this staff. You have performed all
your many and varied duties in a most outstanding manner.
Your advice and your expertise have been most highly regarded
and well received and the manner in which you have performed
these duties is in keeping with the highest traditions of
the Naval Service. Your professional judgments and knowledge
are beyond reproach and you have conducted yourself at all
times in a most outstanding manner. You exemplify the Navy
slogan, "The Mark of a Man." It is with distinct pleasure
that I present this letter of commendation and wholehearted
endorsement of you in whatever endeavor you may seek. Your
services and abilities will be sorely missed. With deepest
repect for an outstanding Senior Chief Petty Office and with
sincerest thanks for your singularly outstanding record of
performance, I extend to you my personal Well Done. This letter

Chief VITKO has consistently performed his duties in an exemplary manner. He is exceedingly industrious and does not
quit until the job is completed. His superb technical knowledge has contributed greatly to the anti-submarine
capabilities of this squadron. His personal appearance and manners are outstanding and he has given his juniors a
goal to strive for. Chief VITKO wears the Navy uniform with pride, a pride that is evident in all his actions.
